Varshaphalam and Journey (Journey: significance and effect)
According to varshaphalam, if Moon or
Ketu is in the favourable position or Ketu is sitting in the earlier house while Moon is sitting in the later house, the journey will neither be against one's own wish nor will
any ill effect be seen. The condition, however, is that Moon itself is not inauspicious. Journey is normally decided according to the house planet where Ketu is positioned in the
varshaphalam. I am explaining below the effect corresponding to Ketu's position in each house:
• Ketu in house 1 - Be prepared to travel but it will not actually happen and if it happens, one has to return immediately.
• Ketu in house 2 - Journey will happen in well-to-do condition after receiving promotion. Promotion and journey occur together, otherwise it does not occur.
• Ketu in house 3 - When the third house will be asleep, native will lead life separately from his brothers.
• Ketu in house 4 - First of all, there will be no journey or, if it happens at all, it will be up to the home town of mother that is up to her feet.
• Ketu in house 5 - Journey to some other place or change will not come by. The change of place may occur within the limits of the same city and will not be unfavourable as long as
Jupiter is auspicious.
• Ketu in house 6 - A journey will be planned at least once. A change of climate in the other city is also possible but Ketu must be awake.
• Ketu in house 7 - One will have to go on a forced journey. If the native of the horoscope does not want to go, his dead body will go there. However if Ketu is awakened and the
influence of house 1 has not become ineffective, a short journey will definitely take place.
• Ketu in house 8 - A journey, particularly of joy, will not happen. Rather a journey, against one's will, will happen as long as Moon and Mars, enemy planets of Ketu, are not in
house 11.
• Ketu in house 9 - A journey towards own hometown will happen with one's own will and happiness. Its result will always be joyful and favourable. However, it will happen as long
as the unfavourable effect of house 3 does not come against it.
• Ketu. in house 10 - Extremely favourable journeys will happen if Saturn is auspicious and extremely unfavourable, physically harmful, and useless journeys will happen if Saturn
is inauspicious.
• Ketu in house 11 - The decision for journey will not reach to oneself, and if it reaches, one has to change the course of journey in the middle of an ongoing journey.
• Ketu in house 12 - The native will have good time to spend with his children and also to recreate. Progress will happen. Profit will occur even if there happens to be no journey.
