Astroshastra - Rudrakshas Beads

 
Rudrakshas (elaeocarpus ganitrus) means “Shiva Eyes”. Mythologically or scientifically rudrakshas bead are considered one of most auspicious thing on earth. It is believed that Rudrakshas originated from the tears of Lord Shiva. Rudrakshas is described in many ancient vedic scriptures like Shiv Puran, Nirnaya –Sindhu, Ling purana, Devibhagwatham, Padma purana, Astamaalika upnishad, Rudra samhita, Kotirudra samhita ,Vayu Samhita, Uma samhita, Kailasa samhita etc. Ancient scriptures have a story about the formation of Rudrakshas. To destroy a demon called Tripurasura , Lord Shiva used a weapon called Aghora. It killed the demon, but the radiance of the weapon made shiva close his eye’s as he could not stare at its radiance.When lord shiva opened his eye’s tears, which fell on earth sprouted bearing Rudrakshas fruits.

According to the devi bhagavata, bead of Rudrakshas work by just netra darhana, hasta sparshana, and deha dharana,i.e. by sight, touch of the hand and the body. Rudrakshas distracts the evil eye. According to Padama purana, a man gain a thousand time merit by seeing a rudrakshas, another 10 fold merit by touching it and 100 fold merit by wearing it on his body. There are 108 kinds of Rudrakshas, out of which fourteen are easily available. The number of lines embedded naturally over the bead is called mukhis or facets.

Rudrakshas beads fights against diseases and improves general health. Rudrakshas beads can be woarn by all, irrespective of caset, sex and religion. Rudrakshas beads of different mukhis appease different planets. Each Rudrakshas beads have positive energies and constructive vibration corrosponding to their planets. One can feel the energies of the beads instantly.

Rudrakshas beads has power of electro- magnetic, and dynamic polarity. The electromagnetic and para-magnetic vibrations differ in different mukhi. It send specific electric implues to the brain through the process of reflex, which stimulates the brain centers and transfers information in the neuro physiology, and cures various ailmets. Rudrakshas creates positive acivity of neuro transmitters, serotonin ,dopamine, harmoone and energy levels. Rudrakshas beads has biomedical prosperities and controls stress, hypertantsion, blood pressure and acts as natural tranquilizer. The electromagnetic vibrations of Rudrakshas improve concentration, mental endurance, tranquility, serenity, and mediation.

Rudrakshas beads may be worn as one bead or multiple beads of the same mukhi may be worn or multiple beads of different mukhi may be combined together. Odd number of beads are recommended to be worn , so one may choose one bead , 3 beads , 5 beads , 7 beads combination and so on . Rudrakshas Beads may be strung in silver/gold or simply in red/black/white thread and are strung either in same direction or face-face and tail-tail direction as specified in Srimad devi bhagawad . Beads may be attached to thread , silver/gold chain or small five mukhi beads or sphatik beads or tulsi beads or gems or a combinations of these .
