Ganapati or Ganesha, the Lord of Ganas, the elephant
faced God, represents the power of the Supreme Being that removes
obstacles and ensures success in human endeavors. Ganesha is revered
as the son of the Shiva and Parvati, and is always honored first in
most worship services and rituals. Ganesha is also known as Ganapati,
Vigneswara, Vinayaka, Gajamukha and Ainkaran. He is worshipped for
siddhi, success in undertakings, and buddhi, intelligence. He is worshipped
before any venture is started. He is also the God of education, knowledge
and wisdom, literature, Ganesha is also one of the five Gods the worship
of whom was popularised by Adi Shankaracharya; the other four are
Vishnu, Shiva, Devi and Surya. The worship of these five deities is
called the pancayatana puja.
In accordance to astrology, Lord Ganesha is helpful in sublimating
the malefic effects of planet Rahu. It's malefic effects are similar
to that of Shani or Saturn. This shankh increases the strength of
character and mind and help achieve happiness, fame, good health and
increase confidence. This shankh is said to represent lord Ganesha.
This is especially USED IN WORSHIP. Worshipper of this get long life
and they become truthful. Such a person is born free of diseases,
wise and knowledgeable any obstacle in his tasks. Such persons have
special ability and talent in studies. They shall remain away from
sin. It provides mental concentration. It specially useful for the
business community. It is also helpful in betting, horse racing and
lotteries etc. Ganesh, the benement and design God of wisdom &

It is most asupicious to invoke Lord Ganesha before any important
work is undertaken, be it the starting of a business, the building

From Feng Shui view point the shell attracts business and travel abroad
a lot. The shell is one of the eight auspicious symbols found on the
foot of the Buddha. From Feng Shui views point the shell attracts
business luck from overseas. It is extremely beneficial for those
who are in the export business or those who rely on foreign turnover
of r prosperity. You can display a conch of about 6 to 8 inches in
the house or office. If you are looking of fame or good reputation
you can place the conch in the South sector of your living room. To
enhance education luck the conch can be placed in the North East area
and if palced in the South West if energises relationship luck. Ganesh
Conch is considered to be a suitable symbol to energise travel luck.
Ganesh shankh shall be kept in Puja Ghar or Locker during any auspicious
occasionor festival, Ganesh conch brings good luck and prosperity
to the individual and his family. In the Puranas, the gods and goddesses
are depicted as holding a shell, whenever they are happy or setting
out on war. It is always recommended that every house shall have Ganesh
Shankh to protect them from evil eyes and malefic effects of planets,
for wealth, prosperity and Good Luck. It is belived that who keeps
this Shell in their locker, they would never face any dearth of money
in there life. Ganesh Shankh shall be kept on red cloth in puja Ghar
or Wrapped in Red cloth, if need to be kept in locker. One shall light
incense in front of Ganesh shankh and offer white rice and milk.
