Connections between the twelve zodiac signs and ragas are found in astrology-and-music traditions, but they are not as standardized as the basic musical theory of raga itself. Why one raga cannot be “the raga” of a sign
A raga has its own grammar. A zodiac sign has its own astrological symbolism. A useful article should not collapse the two into a single universal rule. Instead, sign–raga tables should be labelled according to the tradition or source from which they come. The sign’s lord can then provide an additional bridge to the Navagraha Kriti cycle.
Build sign-based playlists carefully
For Taurus and Libra, for example, Venus symbolism can introduce a discussion of the Shukra Kriti and Paraju / Paras. For Gemini and Virgo, Mercury can lead the reader toward Nattakurinji and the Budha Kriti. Sagittarius and Pisces can open a Jupiter discussion through Atana and Brihaspate Tarapate. These are interpretive pathways, not fixed rules that determine which raga a person must sing.
From Sun sign to complete chart
A Vedic horoscope does not stop at the Sun sign. Ascendant, Moon sign, planetary placements, house lords, Nakshatras and Dashas can change the interpretation. A music-and-astrology page should therefore avoid saying that every person born under one sign has the same musical temperament.
